4 unqualified idiots.
The Beyonders is a dark fantasy tale in a delightful candy coating. This distinctive blend of intrigue and whimsy invites readers into a captivating world where warmth and shadows coexist.

Pockra Caldera
As a student of the Larusian Academy of Magic, Pockra is a bubbly 'almost sorceress' and a bright spark amongst her peers. Her Magic burns brilliantly, even if it's a challenge to control. On a scholarship to the academy, she doesn't hesitate to throw herself at any challenge with determination and, sometimes unearned, confidence. It is her courage, and unease with the state of her scholarship, that push her to take on the first fieldwork offered to boost her grade and secure her place.

D'jarr Rakhan
Paladin of the Raphael Choir, D'jarr has spent his entire life in service of his church. Born and raised to protect, he struggles constantly with the magical side of his abilities. However much he devotes himself, his divine guide never answers, Whatever frustration this brings to the young paladin won't stop him from dedicating his immense strength to aid whoever he can. Taking up his hammer, he agrees wholeheartedly to take on a mission from his choir.

Rahz
An unusual magical phenomenon, a few months ago Rahz was a tree. Waking in the wilderness, he's still figuring out who he is and what he wants to be. His clothes are stolen, his only possession being a necklace of prayer beads which can magically disguie his bark-like skin. Wandering alone, he takes on the first job he can find, in hopes of discovering information about his mysterious origin. Kind to a fault, Rahz is unusually adept at sensing others' feelings and intentions.

Kirin Akin
Suspicious and hostile, Kiri is loyal to a fault. Hailing from the distant city-state of Sansare, Kiri's presence in Laruse is a mystery which she refuses to answer. A skilled acrobat, she wields her golden daggers readily, and, at times, far too eagerly. Unable to stop herself, her sensible demeanour often gives way to curiosity and suspicion. She may get her friends in trouble, but she's more than capable of getting them out of it. In her own words, she only needs to be right once.
